Baby's first picture

Even though Feb is the shortest month in the year, this years seems like the longest. All the visiting, dinners, munchies and all things associated with CNY lead to a generally tiring and unhealthy month haha. The aftereffect as still going on as we still haven't finished the CNY goodies in my home.. It was throughly enjoyable having our first CNY as husband and wife, tiring yes but still enjoyable. Had a great time with our friends and family, gave out our first red packets, although next year baby Raphael will help us claim back a few.

We also managed to get the first look at our little Raphael's face, through his cooperation and the skill of our gynecologist Dr. Watt, it is still an ultrasound image but you are able to make out his little eyes and nose, lao p say he looks like me but I can't really tell haha. He's also getting more and more energetic and likes to kick my lao p alot, it seems like he likes to kick Xiao Fei and me when i try and listen in on his actions haha. I wonder if with a stethoscope my lao p will be able to hear him instead of just feeling his actions. Thank the Lord that our Little Raphael is growing big and strong, we are all eagerly waiting to welcome you to this world.

Gong He Lei

This month we got to see Raphael 2 times! Once was during the routine checkup, with everything normal and going swimmingly. Another time was during the detailed check up, there we got to see his brain! Albeit through the ultrasound. We also saw his little fingers, hand, humerus, femur and strong little heart. No wonder he's so active, he even has good aim with his little punches and kicks. I had my ear to lao p's tummy and he hammered me twice ha ha. We also had our reunion dinner with my family, my eldest cousin is getting hitched in Tasmania next year Jan, wonder if we have o go over heh, although there will be a wedding dinner to be held in Singapore, the church wedding will be there.

Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas pt 2

well next up, the wedding went as well as it could haha, thanks to all who made this possible. In no particular order of merit, Rosaline, my new cousin in law and great wedding car driver, for all the effort and and love, Randy and Irene, our coordinators for a splendid job coordinating the wedding, my brothers, Freddie, Bernard, Nicholas, Eric, Freddy, Raymond and Jeremy for being great sports and all round great people, Chelsa's sisters who did a great job with the games and reception, decorations amongst other things, our wonderful family and friends for their kind support in being there for us for our big night, our parents for their inestimable support in all things, not the least of which without them we wouldn't be here and finally to all who were involved in the process from our wedding photo package signing last year Nov till the wedding night itself we are extremely grateful ^^.

All in all it was a wonderful night and a wonderful experience, I look forward to the journey just beginning, with my wonderful wife and the soon to come new addition to our family, our little gift from god, we look foward to the year ahead and all the christmases and new years to come.

Happy New Year to all and to all a good night.

Merry Christmas to all, Ba rump pa pa bump... Part 1

hmmm where to begin, it's been a eventful month to say the least. No better place to start then the beginning I suppose.

Our little wonder is growing nicely and comfortably, obediently flashing us his privates when Dr. Watt was scanning. Not shy our little prince ha ha, I wonder who he gets that from. It's really amazing watching his progress and growth. It really makes me appreciate the wonder that is life, so many things have to go right for a successful pregnancy and yet it is a daily event around the world. Watching his little shakes and jiggles during the scans bring a smile to my face every time, my lao p is very amused every time I mention that his movements are because he is learning kung fu ha ha. Grow well our little man, we are waiting to welcome you to this wide wonderful world.

Happy Days

Finally the first tri is over and done with for my lao p, it really is a wonderful feeling to watch our little miracle growing. Our obedient little xiao fei also obliged us with a little movement during the scan. Hopefully with the first tri over, my lao p will be able to get back to normal and be normally tried instead of super tired.

this past month we've also went for the selection of the wedding gowns for the 25th of dec, the tailor took one look and guessed that my lao p is eating for 2 people now haha, her first comment after we told her was "i guessed already, her breasts grew bigger.". Go figure that someone in her trade would be able to spot and remember her bust size. We of course have to go back again for a final final fitting 4 days before the 25th.

My days of watching tv and playing games till 11+ are over! hhaahahaha.

my darling lao p

Well its been 39 days since i've gotten hitched and what a 39 days it's been. Recently we've discovered that God has granted us the greatest of his miracles and i'm soooo bloody happy haha. Although I was really hoping that my wife would be one of those lucky ones who don't experience any form of symptoms, like V&C. She's been feeling sick and really tired. A running joke between us has been after she recovers she'll still be tired just that instead of sleeping at 9 she'll go back to sleeping at 10 haha. I really wish that there is more I can do for her during this difficult time, but all I can do is be the best husband I can be (which I should be doing all the time anyway). Seems somehow... insufficient you know.

I'm married!

well well well, what a month it has been. I'm married! In the eyes of the law and church at least haha, there's still the traditional ceremony and dinner to go through. All in all the church wedding cum solemnisation went well, a little delayed because my beautiful bride had to pretty herself up for me, putting on her makeup and doing her hair. Thankfully Fr Kenny was understanding regarding the delay though I do still feel bad about it. Also i'm thankful for the support of so many friends and family, thanks for all the love and all the positive comments regarding our wedding album and music video haha. Not to mention all the wonderful gifts, one of which although someone claims it to be my favourite but i'll probably never get to see my blushing bride wear it haha. Thanks to my cousins/God-siblings Charlene and Benjamin for being a wonderful lector and ring-bearer respectively and wonderful people generally. Finally thanks to the extremely cute Zidane for filling the quiet moments during the service with giggles and baby noises, not to mention kissing/munching on each and every of our piglets when he was rolling on our new bed.
